when you have 4 days at sea? Well yesterday I attended 4 excellent lectures (more than I probably did in college) and had a fantastic Asian 5 course meal at the Chef's table, one of the specialty restaurants on board. I was enjoying that meal while people back home were suffering thru the Vikings game. Then we had a late drink in the explorer lounge with Paul & Shirley and our next-door neighbors, Pete & Christine. All while listening to the soothing sounds of Michael on the acoustic guitar.
For some reason I woke up early (5ish) and was glad I did. Got to see the show the sun rise put on with the passing clouds. We've also had a bird following the boat. Fun to watch it look for fish.
Then after a breakfast of salmon benedict and pineapple, Ann & I did morning yoga. That's become a popular class. Ann had a 9:30 massage, so I ventured for the first time into the spa area. I found the I'd been missing out on a whole other world. I did a sauna, whirlpool, steamroom and snow grotto. I did it all. And I attended true oneness.
Then at 11 Paul & I partook in the crossing of the equator ceremony. This involved us eating some type of fish broth, jumping into the Atlantic (or the part they had pumped into the pool) and having a shoot of something. We were inducted into the Order of the Shellback. And that's all before lunch.
