Position of the ship
This AM while watching the clouds dance around the sunrise, a kite (bird) was soaring along with the ship for quite a while. Took this picture of it with the crescent moon in the background. Lots of pictures have been taken, only a few make the blog. That’s the thing about digital pictures – they are so easy.
At noon the Captain reported that we were 0 degrees 58 minutes north – technically in the North Atlantic. The wind had changed blowing out of the SE at 15 gusting to 25 knots. And we had passed the mid-Atlantic ridge some time ago, and we are back in deep water (2.5 miles). We are estimated to pass the Equator around 4:30 this afternoon.
We crossed the Equator at 16:33 on 11/21/2022
Here is the announcement and a view looking due east from the ship
